Erratic Spinning Beko WMA10 ?

Hi

My Beko WMA10 spins incredibly fast for approximately 1 second then cuts out, and pauses for about 1 minute than repeats the process rather than entering the normal wash and drum spin sequence.

It also gets stuck on steps in the cycle before moving on. I'm keep to try and repair it rather than replace it as it's about 2 years old and not used much (only plugged it back in 2 weeks ago after being unused for a year
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Check the tacho coil for breakages in the connections. The tacho coil is a small generator coil on the end of the motor which provides a voltage proportional to the speed of the motor. This voltage is fed back to the speed control module to enable the machine to check the rotation, direction and speed of the motor. If the machine goes into spin as soon as you turn it on, the tacho coil on the motor is faulty or come off, sometimes the screw holding it on has just come undone and it has fallen off or the outer casing has come adrift. Could also be a fault in the motor driver board or "module"
