I recently bought a Matsui M22LID618 and it is stuck on standby when it is switched on. The only way to get it to work appears to be to press and hold the power button on the remote but that is temperamental and isn't working anymore, which means that it won't turn on at all.

The tv is less than a week old

Returned it today for a full refund, there was a fault with it.

Take it back to Currys for a full refund. Don't take anything else from them but your money back as the box is clearly not 'Fit For Purpose'.

Additionally during the first six months of lifw is is up to the retailer to prove that is isn't faulty not the customer to prove that it is.

Matsui, despite its exotic Eastern-sounding name is actually a DSG Own Brand and so you must have bought it from them.
