Radio appears to be locked and emits a high pitch buzzing sound through speakers. Display is aluminated green blank, no buttons register, code light is not on. How do I unlock it, or is it goosed!

just keep it powered ,for some hours which is not possible in the car.Then display must changes to "code in" mode.By inputting code it works normally other wise it has some defect in it.wishes

Get rid of the RR mate before the engine blows, the 4.6 is renowned for coolant problems, I sold one recently and the buyer got 15 miles down the road when it seized, he said that the temp gauge hadn't been climbing to red (which I don't believe) so instead of simply blowing the head gasket he kept motoring and cooked the full unit which cost me over £3k to replace
