Nokia e65 been in washing machine and totally dead?

Is there any way it can be mended after being in a washing machine in a bathrobe pocket? It will not do anything at all. The battery fizzed a bit when first put it in and i took it out straight away but been dead ever since. The sim will work in other phones to get contacts but I need calender stuff etc and want to repair it, can anyone help please?

Water doesn't damage your phone, it's the battery that does..

Remember at school when we were told that water + electricity causes corrosion? That's what your fizz sound was, putting the battery in is what will have killed it, if you had left it out for a few days & put the phone somewhere warm to dry out it would most likely be fine.
