I have two faults with my ds. Firstly it doesn`t read any game and secondly the touch screen doesn`t work.
Any suggestions? If i need to send away to be repaired what`s the cheapest quote?

I can fix it for £30 + p&p, as long as nothing is damaged on the motherboard. Contact me on livingstone.gary@btinternet.com.

Thanks.

I know this looks like my own personal issue, but i have just fixed mine !!!!!!!! :-D

So the secret is... DON'T PANIC !!!

It will be either of the two larger flat cables, the one for top screen and/or the lower screen.

If you imagine a piano keyboard, the contacts on these cables are like that... i think my cables weren't pushed in far enough for the "black keys"...???

So release the catches.... remove and relocate the cables making sure they are in up to the little "stoppers" on the sides of the cable and close the catch again...

I held my bettary in place and switched on to test so i didn't have to keep taking the case apart.

GOOD LUCK ! :-D

Problem: My DS or DS Lite turns on for a few seconds then shuts off.

Fix: The cable that runs from the top of the DS or DS Lite to the
bottom is not seated correctly. The cable can look like it's in right, but
it isn't. Be patient and try again.

I just found this on:

i have same problem after changing case....
I have seen it mentioned that it may need taking apart and putting together again...
Have you managed to "fix" it ??
