Pressure on worcester 28i junior keeps going up and down!?

Hi
I got back from holiday yesterday to find the pressure on my boiler at 0. I looked in the manual and used the key at the bottom to increase this to 1.5. I did this by turning the key clockwise to open and then the nut to the left to inc pressure then turned both off. However whenever i turn the heating on the pressure starts to creep up! It hit almost 3 last night and I switched it off quick. When its not on the pressure falls again- back to the 2 range. help???

Cheers Ciaron. Tried bleeding last night but nothing happened - no air in any radiator and no drop in pressure! Thanks anyway

Anna , first thing is to try and bleed your radiators to get the COLD pressure down from 2 bar to 1 bar. The pressure rising is normal , as you have it on 2 bar when COLD (ie not in use) it is too high , heat creates pressure and this is causing it to rise close to 3 bar. Make sure you have the filling key removed and the filling tap turned off. If after lowering the COLD pressure to 1 bar it rises to 3 bar when in use then the expansion vessel may need attention.

Thanks Duane. Could you advise on how to do this or how to find out how?
Best wishes
