how do i put the code into my grundig car 200 (d) stereo?

i have just got hold of a stereo and the code on it has a 7 and a 9 in it but the buttons on the front only go up to 6 i also do not have a manual for it so i am struggling please help thank you

Switch Ignition On,
Hold AS button down,
Switch on stereo,
There will be an audiable beep,
Enter Code Using Buttons 1 To 4
Press AS Again To Enter The Code.

the radio is a 1998 but it also has 1985 and 1987 on so i am not sure and they only go from 1999
