my playstation won't save anymore?

i have a playstation that i have had for 5 yrs and it is now not saving it will play and load memory cards but will not save any new data.. what do i do to fix this?

it is not the memory cards.. i have put a blank card in and still the same thing cannot save.. something to do with console

Have you tried deleating old data on the memory card?
