I have a question for GrrMeister as I have the same problem as he had. I am assuming I need a replacement valve but cannot find one anywhere. How did you solve your problem please and where did you get a valve if that was what it was?

I had a similar problem with the same model, the issue was the fitting of the flush button, when I took it out of the mounting it flushed fully and easily every time but when it was fixed onto the panel behind the toilet it wouldn't flush fully and sometimes the button wouldn't come fully out. The hole in the panel holding the flush button needs to be slightly bigger than the button so that it is the bracket that holds it in place, not that fact that it's jammed into the hole bored into the panel. I enlarged the hole with a wood file until it was sitting in the hole freely then fixed it back on with the bracket, it has worked perfectly ever since. Hope this helps.

Alan I have the opposite problem in that it is getting increasingly difficult to stop it 'flushing' I would have expected the 'long threaded screw' by the side of the inlet valve to be able to adjust the water level in cistern before cutting off, but I have been unable to make any difference with this. Maybe in your case you could try turning this to try and see if this helps. It sounds to me that your tank is not filling sufficiently to give a 'good flush' ~~~~~~~~~~~ Regards
