K 45 SS Stand Kitchenaid mixer?

Mixer worked fine. Nosy wife took out brushes. Brushes like new. I put them back as they were. Motor won't turn. Know why?

Just had the same problem, noisy wife ;). It was the brushes. Thanks to your response was able to correct it quickly, thanks!

I believe the brushes are notched - i.e. one corner is ground off at an angle. If the angled corner isn't in the correct position it won't go in all the way to make contact with the rotor and therefore it won't run. Have a look at your brushes to make sure they are inserted in the correct orientation.
