What is wrong with my laguna gearbox?

My 1997 1.8RT Renault Laguna Manual has problems pulling away in 1st gear, all other gears are fine but suffers from a juddering when pulling away in first, the more i push the accelerator the more it judders, on slight inclines from standstill its a nightmare.
