How can I empty water that won't drain?

We are going to change the lid switch on our Whirlpool (LA7780XSW1) and there is no way of removing the front or top to do so...from what I can tell.
In order to reach the part, we must remove the water from the washer that won't drain. Any suggestions short of sucking on the end of a hose...yuck.
Thanks.

Hello,

You do not have to drain the washer to change the lid switch, just UNPLUG it. If the water bothers you, you could bypass the switch and drain the water out.
