Can anyone please help with my 97 scorpio estate?

1997 Ford Scorpio Estate Key Fob keeps losing its memory and has to be reprogrammed and vehicle will not start. Boot lock seems to be interupting the cars brain somehow, which means the barrels on the car doors are not working properly. Engine will not fire, query immobiliser! Help ......

Firstly, put a new battery in the key fob if you haven't already done so. Then disconnect and then reconnect the car battery. This will reset the cars brain to its original settings (the car may act strangly for 50 miles or so due to the brain re-learning). Finally re-programme the key fob.
I hope this helps.
