Ford 6000 radio still works but need to find code?

My cd player in ford mondeo is currently still working but i'm going to have to disconnect battery shortly to do some work. For some reason radio is riveted in place. Is there a way i can find out the code whilst its still working- ie button pressing sequences??

The only way to get the code is with the serial number thats etched into the chassis of the radio and on stickers it should be something like M654321
