wid126s control module replacement?

Ive installed a new controll module due to the old one getting wet. Apparently Indesit have altered the design of the board, so some componants on it are a bit different. However, when the new board was installed all I get is the door lock light flashing slowl and the led's above the function buttons illuminated constantly. Normally the water enters the machine when the start button is pressed, but this doesnt happen. I have been assured that the board supplied is the correct one. The only damage vissible was one the board. Any sugestions as to why it won't work please? (realy don't want to have to call an engineer out!

Check the pressure switch -the system that determines correct water level in the drum. Its a round item about 3 inches across with several wires connected, it sits under the top cover. Its an air operated switch which tells the machine water has reached the correct level. Disconnect the thin rubber pipe from the switch and blow down through it to clear any blockage. Switch itself may be faulty but its more likely the pressure pipe or the vessel attached to the other end of the pipe is blocked.
