My son's nintendo ds lite won't turn on?

The on/off switch on my son's nintendo ds will not work - it seems to have lost it's "spring". Can anyone help??

Probably broken the switch latch. My nephew broke his too and I opened the ds lite bottom screen and removed the switch lever. Now he uses a tooth pick or something small and sharp to start his ds lite. the switch can be replaced but will require soldering. The parts to be solder and desolder was too small for me to work with so i left it as is. hope this helps

this sounds like a fairly common fault on these consoles...
you CAN do it yourself, but otehrwise can be done fairly cheaply...
