Hi,

When I switched on my machine yesterday, it kept stopping and starting very quickly (almost stuttering start-stop-start ... ) and I could hear the water start to flow in and also the indicator light would come on and go off at the same time.

Now it appears totally dead (when switched on nothing happens no indicator light no flowing water noise or anything). Have checked the fuse, mains, connections internally and externally, no problems there.

Could it be the door switch? Any help appreciated, Thanks.

Hotpoint door switches are a very common fault and should be replaced if there is any chance that they are faulty as they normally go into a dead short and blow the timer [very expensive] you can phone me for help 07973 155565.
