Blowing resistor (56ohm) on Kenwood Chef control board?

I have an old A901 Kenwood Chef. It has not been used for several years. I switched it on and it worked for about 5 seconds and then stopped with smell of burning. Found a motor repair kit consisting of capacitors and resistors for control board...founf 56 ohm resistor burnt out but replaced all resistors and capacitors. Swithed on again and again it worked for a few seconds and the 56 ohm resistor has blown again. Help.. any ideas

replace the resistor with the same 56ohm but a 2watt instead of the 1/4watt
