Two things to check are the gas working pressure is set to its correct level.Some boilers are range rated and so can be turned up for better performance.The other is to make sure that the back boiler isnt sooting up.I know you say it is serviced regularly but some people do not withdraw burner assemblies to clean filters and when that happens they may as well not have bothered.
