Hi, how do you change the heating control dial on a ecotec 28 pro, it is one of the large control knobs at the front, the rear of the control is just a thin spindle which has snapped off and has remained inside the unit, do I have to strip everything down for such a simple looking job or is there an easy way?

well the worst words used in the boiler/heating industry are "its only a simple job" and this is no exception, i think if i remember rightly that the spindal on those vaillant eco's simple goes throught straight to the pcb and turns a potentiometer which is actualy a part of the pcb so it probably means........a new pcb !
