SERVOWARM ELITE 50 - REPLACE GAS VALVE?

Pilot light would not stay on - plumber replaced thermo coupler. Still would not remain on so advised new gas valve replacement needed. CANNOT find supplier for part local or internet searches!! If cannot get part then I am in for a huge bill and a new boiler. Can anyone advise
a] can original gas valve be re-con, cleaned up etc?
b] if not, any idea of a supplier, Midlands UK. Or by post?
Grateful for advice. Regards.

Probably too late for yourself but for anybody looking in the future try malvernboilers.co.uk, they have replacement parts for servowarm elite boilers (to my joy)

Hi Scarletta,

Yep you've found them, though I'm not sure if these valves are compatible with Servowarm boilers, it may be worth asking Abcot before you buy it?

SORRY, I meant Abcot, and I see they are advertised on the web - duh!

Thanks Mark and Gasman 1 UK!
It is a grey button but the part number differs from Mark's info - namely Honeywell ST7100.
Does this mean that we CAN get the part or repair/clean it up [I actually mean my CORGI registered plumber]
Your further expertise and advice would be most welcome.
PS - have you a contact for Atwell UK please?

Sorry this isn't an answer but I too have the same problem, the gas valve I'm being told is obsolete is a Honeywell VR4700C, I have managed to locate a supplier of these valves at Abcot uk but my gas engineer is telling me that Servowarm used to alter the valves in some way?

sometimes you can take them apart, pending on what type, what type is it,has it got a big grey button,a white&red button or a black round button
