what makes the turn table turn in my Panasonic microwave modle #s953wf?

we have had the Panasonic microwave oven model #s953wf a few years and the turn table has stoped and I can not figure what is supost to make it move there fore have no idea how to try fixing it if i know how some thing workes I can normely fix it.
it was bult in May 2003

I just took mine apart. The metal clips that hold the turner for the table drive down need to bent back into place. Just to make sure it doesn't come loose again i glued the drive into the turner while reassembling. You have to get a security torque bit to take the microwave appart.

Their will be a smal motor under the turntable.
First ensure plastic part that moves the glass tray is not worn or damaged as this is the usual as the motor drives this directly.
If this is alright the motor may have been damaged by liquid causing corrosion and access varies depending on models but usually you will find an access plate and may have to cut out the notches to remove and when refitting use a screw.
