I have a Panasonic PV8450 VCR
The head seems have worn and discoloured(lost its lustre)
Picture quality is very grainy

Would you believe Sears Parts? Yeah. Sears has parts that you could find other places for OVER $70 for less than $25.
Is your head part number: VEHS0555 then you can finid it for less if you don't need the full head (FH) or just the audio head. Yours is a 4 head HiFi stereo unit right?
Do a search on the Sears parts seach engine to be sure. But who knew the answer would be Sears and you can buy them online.
