I dropped mine this mourning while it was still busy starting up (still in its leather case thankfully) onto my concrete driveway... I thought that would have killed it completely but after reseting twice it has fully come back to life (it crashed after turning it on after the first reset). Special thanks to JJ and Luis above. :D

you should strap it to your favorite little critter such be a squirrel or pond duck and let them get a running start....then pull out your colt .44 magnum and blow them off the map.

okay 3 years later lol, try pushing a small paper clip into the tiny hole just along from the hearphone engraving, hold it in that resets the rio. I dropped mine and came accross your question in search of a repari guide.
