Assuming you are using Virgin CABLE Broadband? You need one of these www.amazon.co.uk/Netgear-WGR614UK-Wireless-Cable-Router/dp/B0000C1WO2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1228408494&sr=8-1
It is very easy to set up. You remove the Ethernet cable from your Virgin Cable Modem and plug it into the router above. Then plug up to four devices into the router with Ethernet cables.

Alternatively some or all of your PCs can access the Internet via the routers built-in Wireless capability.

If you have Virgin Cable DO NOT get a router with built-in ADSL - it won't work!

I have BT Broadband with a wireless router. Pay a fixed charge each month on the 'phone bill and the hosue has up to 8 machines each with wireless cards connected to the internet through the router. Typically just three simultaneous connections at any time because only three of us live here. Laptops work fine in the garden but if the sun shines you can't see the screen very well.
