To connect to my laptop to cable box i have to use rs232lead to usb but it says software not installed properly.how do i over come this pleeeze

if you go to google" type in ,, www.driver-updates.net, you should be able to download the drivers for the usb to rs232 , or if you get a older pc od labtop . it allways has the rs232 port on them , just save the file to a memory stick , take it to the old pc , and do it that way ,, mick
