Hi susan,Before you do anthing you will need to switch off the power at the plug. You can remove the filter, it is at the bottom of the machine at the front right hand corner, behind a false panel, the panel can be removed by inserting a flat blade screwdriver into the lug holes and then just pull the panel. With the panel removed you will be able to see the filter, it is round and black with a grab handle in the middle, if you remove it staight away it will leak alot of water if your machine is not emptying, so put some towels down at this point and be ready for the mess! Now slowly turn the filter handle anti clockwise about a half a turn (it should move really easily, but if it doesnt then this could indicate a blockage,ie a sock!)Now try to move the filter some more, This will either be really easy or really difficult depending on the problem. After awhile you will have the filter removed(and hopefully will have done this slowly to give you time to ring out the towels that you put down)and now you must feel about inside where the filter goes to see if there is a blockage, hopefully it will just be a stray sock that you can get to. If not then you will have to turn the machine onto its side so that you expose the underside of the machine and this will give you the opportunity to get at the pipework around the pump. You will need to remove the pipes at the pump (which is the bit you were working on from the outside of the machine when it situe), to do this you will need a set of good pliers so that you can release the spring clip around the end of the pipe and then pull off the pipe and poke your finger up it seaching for blockages, if none replace the pipe securely, and then remove another pipe and check that until you have tryed them all. If by this point you still have had no luck then remove the waste from the connection at the sink and check that there are no fatty deposits blocking the end, could also be worth removing the waste trap under your sink and checking for blockages here aswell. If you still have had no luck the chances are that you will need to order a new pump unit for you washer/dryer. I hope that you can follow this easily enough and that your problems are quickly recrified. Rob
