Getting number keys to work sharp er a570?

When I key in the numbers on the key pad the number shows up on the screen, however when I press ST or TL the amount is not registered. It is as if a block has been put on inputting amounts manually. (ST and TL work fine when using the pre-programmed plu keys).

Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, I see what you are trying to do. You cannot place money into the TL button unless you have subtotalled a sale first (calculating change).

You can have your PLU buttons as open price. This will allow you to type a price and then press a PLU so that the PLU can have a different price every time you use it. It depends how the PLU has been setup. Also, you must never use a decimal point when typing prices.

If you turn to REG mode and type 100 then press a PLU button, it should ring up $1.00 into that PLU. If you get an error, then the PLU has been set for a preset price only (I can give you the codes to change it to open and preset).

If this sounds like what you want to do, just let me know.
