I have a sony tv keeps switching off please can anyone help before i throw it out the window.

my samsung turns itself off too, i was told its the manifold, whatever that is, will be looking to find one asap, hope this helps guys....

i know it sounds stupid but the best thing to do is to take off the small black circle thing at the back where the bulb is and hoover all the dust out. it makes it stay on longer normally for a bout a month we hoover out the back every month and so far it's been great hope this helps

That could be the cooling fan in the TV it's known for going faulty. It cools the TV down stops it over heating but if it's faulty the TV over heats and turns off.

lol i have the same tv and it powers off every 10 mins, there must be a solution to this, if anyone has one then please answer because its really starting to p*ss me off

I am havin the very same problem - at times it will only stay on for approx 10 mins - then powers off itself!!!!!!!!!
