watrer pump on 1.9 Transporter 2001?

where is the sensor or relay that controls the electric water pump which is in the bottm hose the pump runs 24/7 and flattens the battery

Think you mean Electric FAN
Sensor mounted on Radiator Left hand side (opposite side from battery) connected via plug
As for puzzled i've never heard of electric oil pumps i think you mean fuel pumps

This probably isn't going to help you - sorry! But I have 1998 1.9tdi VW engine and there is no electric water pump, indeed I've not heard of one and can't think why one would be needed given that there is a mechanical one (you do have one don't you?) Are you sure it's water and not oil? I have heard of electric oil pumps which run on after the engine stops -I believe to help cool turbos. I would imagine they run either on a temperature sensor from the turbo or more simply for a preset time. I haven't got one of these on my engine either!
