during a software update last night i cancaled it and now the box is not working the blue light is on but thats about it..........pls help

As you have found out, you should not stop software updates in the middle. Have a look in the manual to see if you can do a factory reset or recover from a failed update. Otherwise the box is probably toast and you will need to replace it.
