Startup pc now i think keep hitting the F8 key hopefully this will bring up a menu, select safemode....from there do a system restore.
2. If that fails open the back of the laptop locate the ram and take out and reseat. please destatic your hands on an steel object before touching components.
3 Hard drive failure. Might be worth taking out the drive and running it as a slave with a usb device, this way you will know if it spins and see whether or not you can see some of its data.
