restore to factory setings?

My laptop has no memory left, its slow, full of cr*p, it had all software on, when I bought it, cant do a systems restore anymore, is there a step by step way to restore to factory settings?.

ok you may have a system recovery inbuilt. Look for that in your documentation

Sounds like you need a full system format. You can try and clean them but once they have gone too bad its worthless. There are several ways to restore to its factory defaults. Ok you didn't say what system or pc you have. Some come with restore disks others onboard restoration and another way is to format using a windows xp disk (just assuming you have xp) You need to find this out. Its a long shot but I am gonna say and its a guess, you have an xp operating system disk. 1 make your pc boot from CD or dvd drive by allowing this the first boot device in the bios. 2 Put disk in drive and restart...watch the screen it will say hit a key to boot from cd do this.3 Wait and follow the onscreen instructions. REMEMBER All programs and data will be lost, you will be reminded of this along the way. Just follow the instructions through. Probably takes about 50mins all in all. results are great.
