140w rotary tool?

can i obtain a new flexible drive shaft for a performance power rotary tool fmtc 140htk-ser no 0435705 -ean no 05016785

Mine also broke. I simply filled the broken spring with epoxy resin and reassembled the it before it had gone off.
Seems to work fine now. I've no idea how long it will last but it's better than binning it!

Had the same problem, bought a Toolstation complete flexi, with collet etc, only had to skim the threads slightly on the main body to make it fit, as new collar was marginally smaller, cost about £15, but was worth it to still be able to use it. Wouldn't be without it.
The 'performance' spring cable has a small block on the end that the Toolstation didn't, and would probably make it a weak point if you tried to weld/solder it onto new one, but this works well!!

just called their helpline number on the drill (0845 300 2577). Basically they say because it's a Performance Power product (i.e. at the really cheap end of B&Q products) then there are no parts available for it. I won't be throwing this in the skip as they suggest, I'll find some way of fixing it, but will never buy "Performance Products" junk again......
