Model: Belvedere Electic fire.
Heater - 1.875 - 2.040KW
220 - 240V - 50Hz
2 x 7w low Energy lamps
The fire would work fine in low heat mode but once the second switch was activated to give a higher level of heat. A few seconds later it would blow a fuse.
On the last occasion it flickered and then went off all together?

Coldjohn,

Is this a built-in electric (coal effect) fire by Robinson Willey rather than a portable fan heater for instance?

If so it may need to be taken out for diagnosis and repair by a competent person. Robinson Willey do have a one page web site (under construction) their contact details are:

Trinity Park, Orrell Lane, Liverpool L20 6PB
Tel: 0151 530 1900
