I have 2 way switching in my mhall which operates 2 lights, only it wasn't wired properly, and when I go to one part of the hall and try to switch
the light off, I have to go back to the other end of the hall to switch off there first, otherwise one light goes off and the other comes on!!
Any suggestion??

Someone has had the switch off and got the wires mixed up! There is a common return which should become live when the other switch is turned off thus altering the polarity of power at the other switch. To explain this on the net is difficult and with health and safety in mind I suggest you contact a qualified electrician to sort it.
