Above washing m/c wont start, just get a clicking noise, its about 6 years old. Also the door sometimes jams up

sounds like your door lock is faulty, if you can open the door when it should have started then try slamming the door (not to hard) but if the door is locked but still not starting then it might be a problem with the drain pump??
