You need a wireless router.
You need to have a wireless card or wireless usb device in your laptop.
The laptop needs to have the correct driver for the wireless device you have.
Go to:
Control Panel
Network & Internet Connections
NETWORK CONNECTIONS
Should see a wireless card icon - enable it - see if it works.
