How can I fix my Thomson DT16300?

Was changing chanel when digibox crashed and came back on with amber light flashing. Have tried disconnecting it and removing/reinserting all plugs but amber light still flashing and nothing else happens.

My box wont have it so sent for new one at the cost of £20, but tried my mother in laws with what i was told and it worked first time.

Hi Kirstin

I have a similar problem, I've just been on the phone to topup tv's technical help, they suggested tring the following 2 fixes;

Fix 1
1) Remove the power cable for 10 seconds
2) Plug the power back in
3) Press the standby button until the orange flashing light comes on
4) Press 'Menu' then 'OK'

Fix 2
1) Remove the power cable for 10 seconds
2) Plug the power back in
3) Press the standby button until the orange flashing light comes on
4) Press the arrow keys in the following sequence - Up, Down, Left, Right.

This didn't work on mine so I'm not sure what is meant to happen. Topup TV have said that if this doesn't work then I'll need to send it back from whenst it came and get a replacement as it is goosed.

They also have no idea what the USB plug is for underneath the card slot - looks suspiciously like something you would use to upgrade the software...

The search continues...

Hope that this is of more help to you than it was to me ;)
