how do i save/copy cd's to mp3 player in right format?

Proline mp3 digital player MP518D-1GB
using windows media player and has 2 folders on mp3, if copy into first folder it states no files, if copy in to 2nd folder says no authority, if just copy and paste from cd it says wrong format.

get express rip to get the song of the cd but needs to be set on mp3 (not wav or any other format) then just copy them from the destination to your mp3 player
