can anyone suggest a remedy? cd6000 ford mondeo cd radio will not respond to button presses it is stuck on one station

This is one of the more common faults with this model stereo and it is certainly repairable. Remedy is repair of front circuit board but unfortunately for you it can only be done by a professional.
