How do I manually drain my washing machine?

Zanussi FS1255W has stopped working - clicks three times then end light flashes four times
From what I have read it would seem this may be a faulty interlock but want to drain to inspect further without flooding room!! Please help

Thank you for the reply Richard - Was hoping there was maybe a better way without having to pull m/c out - both awkward (very tight space) and heavier with the water in
(Sorry should have worded my initial question a little better!)
I have just remembered something - May just get towels down and pull the filter - from memory that seemed to cause a slight flood / major panic last time I pulled it (forgetting about the water in the m/c - doh)
Oh well......wheres that swearbox

Disconnect the machine and pull it out. Keep the drain hose up until you can lower it into a bucket/bowl then the water will come out by gravity.
