no flame in boiler?

Thye house was cold,,, the room stat was calling for heat, but none was to be found.
There is no pilot light or flame when stat calls... Is this a gas valve problem. And Worchester do a service on their boilers ( pay a fee, and they fix it regardless of the fault ) Do they do this service for other makes of boiler.
PS Its COLD IN OUR HOUSE.......

I hope you're sorted by now, but if not.....it could be a seized fan. Apparently if the fan doesn't run a sensor cuts off the gas ( to avoid filling the house with fumes) so there is no flame.
