How to fix the 18XRP battery?

I have 2 batteries. One was lost for 8 months which makes it non chargable. I thought it was stolen but it somehow got thrown behind the washing machine. OH Well, it is now not charging, is there a way to reactivate the battery cells?

sometimes batterys need their memory ''deleting'' this is not a guarenteed remedy but may work (works for me 7 out of 10 times)
put battery in plastic bag then shove it in the freezer for 24 hours, leave to thaw for 2 days then try charging, works on ni-cd best but also ni-mi (makita black and red) but should not be attempted on li-on batterys. check for splits before charging. or contact me, rugjnkn@aol.com
