Machine stuck on main wash!!

Have reset following the given text and drained down. When wash is started again, machine fills with water and just sits there doing nothing!!

Any ideas ????

does the drum rotate? ive had the same problem with my hoover washing machine. drain down and put on spin cycle, if the drum doesnt rotate chech the brushes in the motor. if it does rotate, you might have a faulty element or thermostat. the machine might be sitting there waiting for the water to warm up
