The cycle starts and fills with water, then everything stops and the machine flashes the Pre-Wash and Start lights 7 times. I have drained and cleared the filter/pipes which hasn't helped. The door lock also seems OK as the door lock light is on and the door can not be opened.

It's a Hoover HTC 243 which is a slim line top loading washing machine.
