1955 fordson major?

Can any body help me?
I have just got an old tractor for my fishing boat and am know checking fluids etc.
There is a dip stick near the gearlever the same side as the lever for the pto and have just found it to be empty, is it for clutch fluid or gearbox oil?
If you can help then thank you!!

Two different levels are in Gearbox.
One beside gearhandle should be easy enough to read
Second is accesible on plate on right hand side I think that a 23mm spanner takes it off right beside where the clutch adjustment is

hi ed
you can put either gear oil or a 15w/30 universal tractor oil would be ok if your just using it for towing a boat in and out,you will find what ever you put in will go milky as they tend to condensate quite bad
