The TV switched of and now wont turn back on, the stanby light switches on and off, but nothing comes on the screen.

Does anyone have any ideas its a 42" samsung lsd, which i have had for just over 2 years.

I look forward to hearing from you!

I will never buy any Samsung LCD - ever - ever - ever ..... spent over $ 2,300 and two year later I get a piece of "S" and the CEO of Samsung will not do anything about it.

Ours has not come back on 3 times now while it was turned off for the night. The first two times we left it unplugged for a day or so and managed to get it to turn on 2 days later. This time no such luck. We're looking for answers also. The blue standby light is on but dim when it is plugged in.

Yeah, my 42" samsung plasma did this also. Cured it tho, they were gonna bring me a replacement but as they didn't show up on time, I took it back to shop and got my money back. Then went and bought a 50". Thats working fine. If its any consolation, my other 42" Samsung has been ok.
When mine did this, helpline said remove batteries from remote. Then unplug TV and 'press' on/off button and hold for 1 minute. Seems this gets rid of any static build up. Then on remote, hold on/off button and the 1 button down for 1 minute. Then replace batteries in remote. Then plug in TV and see if it turns on. If it doesn't you could try all the above again but if no joy, I can't help any further. I'm only passing on info given to me by helpline.

No idea I'm afraid, but mine has started doing the same - 2 months out of warranty. If I find out, I'll let you know.
