How do I reset my TCM Radio Controlled Watch, I have replace the battery and cannot set the time ?

My tchibo supplied TCM watch failed when the battery ran out of juice and has been impossible to reset despite following the manual. In my opinion these watches are NBG and tchibo are unhelpful. My advice is avoid tchibo watches and TCM

1) press the "mode" button for more than 3 sec.
2) adjust hour, min and sec. to jour local time, year and date by pressing the up/dwn button.
3) press the "mode" button after each setting.
4) set the +/- time differece to GMT (ex.: ROME +01)always by using up/dwn.
5) confirm by pressing "mode"
