doesn't flush properly?

I have a Grohedal flush system with 2 buttons. There are 2 problems. First The buttons have to be kept pressed all the time, second even on the buttons pressed, it only flushes with a very poor flow like a trickle. I tried to explore about the problem, the cylinder lifts only about a cm rather on pressing the buttons. Any suggestions please ? Thanks

some syphons have integral parts which can be adjusted, try looking at the height of the rods coming from the flush button, small button should be for short flush, large outer button should be for full flush
(no.2 000000's)ha ha....
if it's new call your plumber back( do not waste your time you might break it), if it's an existing cistern your plastic giude bar on the syphon may have dislodged, i'm a plumber this happens quite often...hope this helps

Identical problem here. What needs to be replaced - the button mechanism or the valve? Anything that can be serviced?
